The Dr. Bott Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter with USB Audio transmits the Audio (USB-Stereo only) and Video signals from your Mac with mini DisplayPort to an LCD-TV or Home Cinema setup with HDMI. Audio is picked up from the USB Port of the computer and passes the signal to the TV set without any loss or modification.
No software or drivers need to be installed on a Mac. Audio and Video ports are recognized automatically and are configured using the familiar control panels in System Preferences.
The USB audio (stereo) appears as a separate Audio Out port in the control panel. This allows for alert sounds to be played through the internal speakers while the video soundtrack plays via HDMI.
